Training with Syrian rebels

Israele non vede per niente bene la rivolta anti-Assad in Siria, e questo si sa. La notizia di oggi è che un arabo israeliano è sospettato dallo Shin Bet israeliano di essersi unito a gruppi qaedisti in Siria. 

" A district court on Wednesday charged an Arab citizen of Israel with crimes including contact with a foreign agent after he traveled to Syria to fight alongside the rebels, Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security agency, said in a statement". The New York Times

Lui nega, secondo il quotidiano americano . Ha passato il confine turco-siriano a piedi ma - dice l'avvocato, "he did not join the rebels, but the reality in the area forced him to be part of this population,” Mr. Jabar told Israel -Radio on Wednesday. “He helped them build tents and so on.”.

Secondo Haaretz però l'uomo non si sarebbe limitato a mettere in piedi tende. Anzi, avrebbe confessato che gli sarebbe stato chiesto di condurre attacchi contro l'esercito siriano e anche contro obiettivi israeliani. Lui però avrebbe rifiutato.
